Real Places, Imagined Spaces
April 19 @ 12:00 pm - April 21 @ 6:00 pm
Postage stamp collage, maps, mixed media, cube paintings & landscapes.
Two Toronto artists and friends, Frank Chester and Michael Limerick, have teamed up for an innovative art show at the Peter MacKendrick Community Gallery. Real Places, Imagined Spaces is the third collective collaboration for these two artists. Frank Chester’s paintings portray lush, vibrant natural landscapes, lakes and shores, reflecting local and distant places. Michael Limerick’s work pays tribute to our home and Native land, as well as imagined places and comic book heroes and heroines of his youth. Using mixed media, predominantly geographical maps and recycled postage stamps, Limerick creates colourful mixed media “landscapes”
